Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Working knowledge of Python and bash scripting, C++, and OOP/OOAD.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
- Experience in developing solutions to technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
- Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to help develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives.
- Strong communication skills with internal team members and client team members.
- Ability to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, processes, and approaches.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design solutions.
- Familiarity with memory management, multicore processors, and distributed systems design.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code using good OOP/OOAD techniques for our systems.
- Optimize code by identifying bottlenecks, bugs, and devising solutions, including maintaining code quality, controlling revisions, and analyzing customer issues.
- Participate in the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products.
- Apply appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
- Conduct software requirements analysis, analyze hardware compatibility, and develop software products and tools for the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites, which may be domestic or international.
