Requirements
Must:
- I hold a BS/BA degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with a Master's Degree; alternatively, I have 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- I am a U.S. Citizen.
- I am capable of maintaining and obtaining a CBP Background Investigation prior to starting.
- I have experience in test data management and testing automation.
- I possess technical expertise in Java and Database programming languages.
- I have experience with DevOps, continuous integration tools, and source control tools.
- I am knowledgeable in agile development and testing methodologies.
- I can work effectively on a multidisciplinary team.
- I have experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, SoapUI, and capabilities in scripting, performance, load, and scanning.
Responsibilities
- I provide technical guidance during significant projects in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining programs.
- I translate and interpret functional requirements into test cases.
- I maintain the test environment and install new software code as necessary to support applications.
- I develop and use automated tests.
- I perform regression testing, covering the full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images delivered to the customer.
- I develop detailed test plans, test data, and define test acceptance criteria.
- I prepare test reports summarizing results, including anomalies, system errors, and configuration changes.
- I support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
- I verify specific actions or functions of code and demonstrate these successfully to customers.
- I assist the software development team in implementing automated regression testing.
- I support customer demonstrations, data preparation, and UAT activities.
Description
I am looking for an Automation Tester to join our National Security Sector at Leidos. The role requires strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program related to the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This program is vital for supporting the Department of Homeland Security's critical missions, specifically concerning the screening and processing of travelers entering the United States.
In this hands-on position, I will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. I will exercise my judgment to recommend the best designs based on customer objectives, timelines, and resource constraints. This role entails participating in and directing major project deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, including scope estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.
Please note, this position requires onsite support in Ashburn, VA, two times a week. The pay range for this job is between $101,400.00 and $183,300.00, and it may change depending on various factors such as responsibilities, experience, and alignment with market data.
