Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Over 4 years of practical experience in developing and customizing Appian applications
- Appian Certified Lead Developer certification
- In-depth knowledge of Appian features including process flows, SAIL forms, Web APIs, RPA, Portals, and AI Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Experience with data model design and familiarity with RDBMS concepts
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience in migrating Appian applications across different environments
- Strong integration skills with internal and external web services
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Bonus: Experience supporting federal government clients or in highly regulated settings
- Bonus: Additional Appian certifications or advanced technical qualifications
- Bonus: Knowledge in enterprise system integrations, DevOps pipelines, or cloud-based deployments
- Bonus: Experience mentoring developers or leading small technical teams
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into functional and technical specifications
- Provide expert insights on Appian best practices and customization techniques
- Design and implement scalable applications, including process models, SAIL forms, records, and interfaces on the Appian platform
- Write secure, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to Appian and organizational standards
- Integrate Appian with enterprise systems and third-party applications to ensure smooth data flow
- Oversee data migration, synchronization, and system integrity
- Develop and execute thorough test plans to confirm functionality and performance
- Diagnose and resolve application defects and technical issues throughout their lifecycle
- Lead and join code review sessions to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable solutions
- Provide training and hands-on support to end users and IT specialists, facilitating adoption and knowledge transfer
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and training resources
- Monitor and manage the health of Appian environments to guarantee high availability and performance
