Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing database security measures
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Excellent skills in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools is preferred
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex security incidents
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities with IT, Security, and Compliance teams
- Experience with SIEM and security monitoring tools
- Ability to document policies, procedures, and secure configurations effectively
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust database security policies and access controls
- Monitor database activities for suspicious behavior and potential security breaches
- Securely configure and manage both relational and NoSQL databases
- Respond to database security incidents and conduct thorough investigations
- Maintain and optimize logging and monitoring tools for proactive threat detection
- Collaborate closely with IT and Security teams to uphold strict security standards
- Develop comprehensive documentation for security protocols and configurations
Description
We are seeking a Database Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in either Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA. This is a contracted position for 6 months, offering a competitive rate.
