Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in industrial automation and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in robot programming and commissioning (please specify your expertise).
- Full-stack development skills: comfortable with backend, database, and basic front-end/dashboard functionalities.
- Practical knowledge of electronics and sensors (basic wiring, signal integrity, and safe I/O practices).
- Ability to work onsite and transition between software development and hands-on production assistance.
- Strong communication skills in English; collaborative, practical, and quick to learn.
Responsibilities
- Program and support robotic automation (cell setup, teach pendant programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and cycle-time enhancements).
- Design and implement comprehensive manufacturing automation solutions: sensors, logic, data processing, and dashboard/alert systems.
- Develop full-stack tools for enhancing production and quality (APIs, database management, basic UI, reporting, and traceability).
- Engage in rapid prototyping on the shop floor: set up and program an ESP32 with limit switches or similar sensors (GPIO, pull-ups, basic debouncing, firmware uploading). Environment and tools are flexible (Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, ESP-IDF, etc.).
- Integrate equipment and systems (PLC/OT signals, robots, scanners, sensors, and vision systems as needed).
- Create clear documentation for maintenance and operations; provide training for operators.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement in reliability, safety, uptime, quality, and scalability.

We are seeking a hybrid engineer who can effectively bridge hands-on factory work with the development and maintenance of our software and automation layers, including robotics, sensors, data acquisition, and integrations. We offer competitive compensation between $45 and $55 an hour based on experience and qualifications.
