Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of demonstrated experience in backend development, particularly in creating APIs.
- Strong command of one or more backend programming languages such as NodeJS, Java, or Python.
- Extensive expertise with AWS, including both server and serverless environments.
- Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in building high-volume, transactional APIs.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Familiarity with in-memory data solutions like Redis, Memcached, or Elasticache.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, encryption methods, and compliance requirements for managing sensitive data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control.
- Experience working within an Agile development setting.
- Exposure to message queuing systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain resilient and scalable APIs using NodeJS, Java, Python, or other relevant backend technologies.
- Create high-volume, transactional APIs that facilitate essential pharmacy functions.
- Employ AWS extensively, managing both server-based and serverless architectures.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, utilizing SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Handle in-memory data storage mechanisms like Redis, Memcached, or Elasticache.
- Implement security best practices, encryption measures, and compliance protocols for safeguarding customer information.
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of backend systems.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers and team members to integrate APIs, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Produce and sustain detailed technical documentation.
- Engage in code reviews and contribute to enhancing development methodologies.
- Optimize API efficiency and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Use GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Follow Agile principles throughout the development lifecycle.
