Requirements
Must:
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in backend development, focusing on API construction.
- Expertise in one or more backend programming languages, such as NodeJS, Java, or Python.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS, including both server and serverless frameworks.
- Proficient in managing relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience in developing high-volume, transactional APIs.
- Strong grasp of RESTful API design principles.
- Familiarity with in-memory data systems like Redis, Memcached, or Elasticache.
- In-depth understanding of security best practices, encryption, and compliance regarding sensitive data handling.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Background in Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with message queueing systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement durable and scalable APIs utilizing NodeJS, Java, Python, or other relevant backend technologies.
- Create high-volume, transactional APIs that are essential for pharmacy operations.
- Leverage AWS capabilities using both server and serverless solutions.
- Work extensively with both relational and non-relational data through SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Utilize in-memory data caches such as Redis, Memcached, or Elasticache.
- Establish and follow security best practices alongside encryption and compliance measures for managing sensitive customer information.
- Ensure backend systems are high-performing, secure, and reliable.
- Partner with front-end developers and other team members for seamless API integration and user experience.
- Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Engage in code review sessions, enhancing our development workflows.
- Optimize API functionality and resolve any technical issues.
- Use GitHub and GitHub Actions for managing version control and enabling continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Follow Agile practices in project execution.
