Requirements
Must:
- Active Security Clearance is mandatory
- Proficient knowledge of AWS Services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Management tools, Security, Identity, and Compliance
- Minimum of 4 years experience working with AWS (EC2, Lambda, Glue, S3, Redshift, Python programming)
- Experience in implementing and troubleshooting workloads within AWS
- Competence in creating CloudFormation Templates (CFTs)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CodeDeploy, CloudFormation, GitLab, GitHub, Jira
- Strong communication skills with the ability to identify and resolve customer issues
- Capability to think strategically and act proactively
- 4 years of expertise in software development tools and methodologies
- 4 years of experience in infrastructure and database architecture, as well as networking
- 4 years of experience in architecting and deploying operational solutions on AWS
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- AWS certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Automate the migration process to AWS from development to production
- Create and update CloudFormation Templates for deploying cloud resources
- Provide guidance to engineering teams during the transition from on-premise to cloud environments
- Optimize cloud workloads for cost efficiency, scalability, availability, governance, and compliance
- Offer support for administration of production, staging, and deployment environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and plan architecture and solutions
- Utilize expertise across AWS services to inform decisions
- Employ scripting and automation skills with tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Springfield, VA, working onsite five days a week. This is a 1099 contract position with a competitive pay range of $70.00 - $85.00 per hour, and an expected workload of 40 hours per week. You will work in an agile environment, interacting with a highly functional development team to enhance service automation and system performance while adhering to security protocols. We value proactive communication and collaboration, and are committed to delivering top-notch solutions to our clients.
