Hotel engineer with HVAC and plumbing skills

- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hospitality or related field required - At least one year of progressive experience in a hospitality setting preferred - Trade school and/or college coursework in relevant field is advantageous - Flexibility in working hours may be required - Ability to exert considerable physical force, including lifting over 100 pounds occasionally - Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and guests - Proficient in listening to and addressing concerns of employees and guests - Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines - Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner - Attendance at mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions is required - Consistent attendance in accordance with Highgate hotel standards as per scheduling needs - Maintain high personal grooming and presentation standards, including appropriate uniform and nametag - Adhere to Highgate hotel policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations - Focus on productivity, identify issues, and assist in implementing solutions - Capable of problem-solving, including anticipating and addressing operational challenges - Ability to comprehend and apply complex information from various sources to achieve objectives - Willingness to cross-train in other hotel functions - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information - Show initiative in anticipating guest and operational needs - Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
