Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and enterprise database structures
- Extensive experience in designing and developing data systems and supporting infrastructure
- Proficient in SQL with practical knowledge of tools like Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL
- Familiarity with Parquet, data warehousing, and data lakehouse architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
- In-depth understanding of ETL/ELT processes, OLTP/OLAP systems, and performance optimization techniques
- Ability to navigate changing systems and build solutions from the ground up
- Team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate and contribute to shared objectives
Responsibilities
- Design and create scalable data systems and infrastructures, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Build and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data flow among systems
- Work with SQL, Parquet, and Postgres to manage structured and semi-structured data
- Implement and optimize OLAP and OLTP systems for performance and scalability
- Define and maintain data models, schemas, and necessary documentation
- Establish and refine data governance practices and reliability standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions
- Utilize platforms like AWS to support and scale our cloud-based data environment
- Assist with analytics and reporting initiatives using tools like Tableau or Power BI
