Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in GIS technologies, particularly ESRI ArcGIS and Ericsson Network Engineer Map Based GIS
- Prior experience in GIS or AutoCAD
- Familiarity with mapping telecommunication infrastructure both underground and aerial
- Competence in reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and connectivity records
- Strong computer skills for database maintenance and integrity assurance
- Knowledge of telecommunication network infrastructure
- Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber infrastructure
- Geographic knowledge regarding land, sea, and air distribution
- Excellent analytical abilities using GIS tools for problem-solving
- Skills in system evaluation for performance assessment
- Proficient information gathering and validation skills
- Capability to organize tasks methodically
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and cartographic) for conveying GIS information to varied audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with IT and engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Conduct data conversion and migration related to telecommunication and data network infrastructure
- Migrate data for supporting infrastructure including manholes, service boxes, towers, and conduits
- Create datasets for Outside Plant (OSP) fiber cables and their components
- Develop datasets for Inside Plant (ISP) fiber cables, including layouts and elevations
- Build and migrate data concerning network equipment connectivity and Circuit Layout Records
- Review and update land maps utilizing GIS tools
- Gather geographic data from diverse sources such as censuses and satellite imagery
- Input new map data utilizing digitizers or coordinate systems
- Analyze relationships among varied geographic data types
- Produce reports and maps using GIS database systems
- Participate in building and upgrading GIS applications and databases
- Assess Map Based GIS applications for future upgrades
- Research to obtain existing databases
- Maintain accuracy and integrity across all GIS systems
