Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 17+ years of professional experience, or a masters degree in a STEM field with 15+ years of professional experience. - Extensive background and experience in the space domain focused on C3BM, SDA (both space-based and ground-based), and Combat Power systems development and acquisition, analysis, operations, and/or satellite ground architectures. - Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced, and small team environment. - Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proven capacity to operate within integrated Government, FFRDC, and SETA teams. - Willingness to travel occasionally. - Active Top Secret Government security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice to the Space Systems Command PEO and SSIO leadership on technical and analytical methodologies, architecture evaluations, systems engineering, and the development of future space and ground command and control systems for DoD clients. - Work as an individual contributor while collaborating with a team of high-performing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), systems engineers, data scientists, and software developers to support Government lifecycle systems engineering and management processes. - Oversee acquisitions, technologies, and studies, emphasizing system engineering processes to ensure mission requirements are met. - Create analytic plans and outline analytic tasks necessary to clarify SSIO mission requirements and refine architecture roadmaps. - Analyze C3BM mission data flows to support the closure of SSC kill chains, considering data formats, latencies, and system linkages. - Assist in the modernization of space and ground system architectures for the future space enterprise. - Organize and lead efforts across multiple simultaneous studies and initiatives. - Foster productive relationships with program managers, SETAs, FFRDCs, and other external stakeholders through regular engagement. - Support risk management processes by identifying, assessing, and addressing program risks; conduct analyses to pinpoint risk areas and propose or execute mitigation strategies. - Develop reports and presentations to update on work progress, including briefs to government as needed.
