Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC (must obtain within 30 days if none)
- 3-5 years of proven experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring cybersecurity solutions
- 3-5 years of experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and eMASS
- Familiarity with HBSS, Fortify, and ACAS/Nessus
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification
- Must hold and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation, review, and management of system Assess and Authorize documentation to ensure compliance with RMF standards
- Provide guidance and support to associates throughout the RMF phases
- Conduct Risk Management and testing of Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) and RMF controls in accordance with NIST Special Publication 800-53
- Lead IATT and ATO activities to ensure successful execution
- Maintain the systems accreditation status and generate reports, notifying proponents when updates to documentation are necessary
- Support the implementation of information systems security technology and procedures, including user access control and authentication
- Develop, distribute, and maintain security plans, instructions, guidelines, and standard operating procedures
- Review Army and DoD policies and create local procedures to implement national cybersecurity subprograms and initiatives
- Assess system and network changes for their cybersecurity impact on confidentiality, integrity, availability, and overall security
- Prepare and submit Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M) for review by the Authorizing Official
Description
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to spearhead Assess and Authorize (A&A) activities for U.S. Army medical devices and systems. This role involves executing tasks that support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, leading to successful Authority to Operate (ATO) decisions and ongoing monitoring.
