Cloud Platform Engineer

- Design, implement, and sustain cloud infrastructure and platform services to support web applications - Construct and oversee Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and application deployment - Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines employing GitLab and other automation tools - Create and handle containerized applications using Docker and Helm charts - Apply infrastructure as code practices for uniform and repeatable deployments - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance cloud resource utilization - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to elevate the teams platform engineering expertise - Lead architectural discussions and offer strategic counsel on cloud infrastructure and deployment approaches - Collaborate with development teams to bolster application deployment and implement DevOps best practices - Consult with Army managers and representatives regarding infrastructure needs, security considerations, and technical solutions - Ensure security best practices and compliance standards are upheld across all cloud environments - Document infrastructure configurations, deployment protocols, and operational procedures - Work effectively both independently and within a team, showcasing adaptability in strategic and consultancy-oriented settings - Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
