Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related technical field.
- Capability to obtain a Secret clearance; active Secret clearance is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of AWS products and functionalities.
- Proven background in using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- Experience in managing hybrid cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with GitLab for CI/CD and automated deployments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux toolsets for network-related analysis.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (SEC+ or equivalent).
- Prior experience in government technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of US Army technology, systems, and command & control procedures.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration within Agile teams.
- Masters degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Top Secret security clearance is desirable.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional is a plus.
- Experience in IL6 or similar secure environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of security protocols in federal IT, including FedRAMP and FISMA requirements.
- Agile certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Cross-Domain Solutions (IL4 to IL6) is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate cloud-based technical solutions and designs based on client specifications.
- Provide expertise in monitoring and engineering infrastructures and applications to the cloud.
- Oversee the clients overall cloud experience and serve as the engineering liaison for addressing reported performance or delivery challenges.
- Ensure all vendor cloud solutions meet industry and government-mandated security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to document controls, support certification processes, and provide metrics for audits.
- Escalate issues, challenges, risks, and constraints to relevant parties for resolution.
- Administer and monitor IL4/IL5/IL6 cloud accounts and their performance levels.
- Create parent and child accounts or organizations within an IL4/IL5/IL6 environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS products and capabilities.
- Perform hands-on work independently within government cloud environments.
- Collaborate within teams to set up and sustain cloud architectures.
- Manage multiple client priorities with minimal supervision.
- Develop processes for High Availability and Disaster Recovery in adherence to government and industry standards.
- Contribute to the establishment of DevSecOps Pipelines within the Gov-Cloud Framework.
