Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET (Core or 6/7+), and PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- Experience in debugging, profiling, and performance optimization within distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven track record in developing scalable, high-availability backend systems, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience with Agile development practices is preferable.
- A strong interest in or experience with healthcare technology, EHR/EMR systems, or medical data standards is highly advantageous.
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, certification, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- I design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and manageable backend services using C# and .NET to support healthcare applications and data platforms.
- I build and maintain event-driven webhook ingestion services to securely process EMR/EHR callbacks (HL7, FHIR, and vendor APIs), ensuring reliable data persistence, normalization, and downstream delivery to clinical decision support and pharmacy safety systems.
- I work extensively with source control (Git), employing best practices in branching, merging, pull requests, and CI/CD workflows.
- I actively conduct and participate in peer code reviews to assure code quality, maintainability, compliance, and knowledge sharing among the team.
- I collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical leaders to improve development processes, uphold coding standards, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- I troubleshoot and resolve backend issues while maintaining comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests to prevent regressions.
- I conduct robust integration, performance, and security testing with a focus on the protection of patient data and HIPAA compliance.
- I utilize metrics, instrumentation, and code-quality tools to perpetually enhance reliability and observability.
- I support the onboarding process and mentor new engineering team members.
- I stay updated on evolving .NET technologies, healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), and system integrations.
- I communicate proactively with team members, clinicians, and leadership to identify issues and propose solutions.
- I perform additional duties as needed to further organizational and patient-focused objectives.
