Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in Linux systems engineering and administration within production environments
- Proven expertise in designing, constructing, and maintaining critical infrastructure across Azure and on-premises setups
- Proficient in programming with C and Python for system tools, performance enhancements, or networking tasks
- Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP and HAProxy configuration and optimization
- Strong fundamentals in networking and troubleshooting across TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and SSL/TLS
- Practical knowledge in building and managing Azure infrastructure including compute, networking, and storage solutions
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Equivalent experience in Linux systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and networking may replace formal educational requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, secure, and maintain RHEL/Ubuntu systems; implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies, along with patch management
- Troubleshoot networking issues across OSI/TCP/IP layers including DNS/DHCP, routing, VLANs, firewalls, and SSL/TLS certificates
- Implement, configure, and optimize F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM, iRules) and HAProxy for load balancing and traffic management tasks
- Establish and secure IaaS/PaaS environments on Azure (including VMs, VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Firewall, Storage)
- Create utilities/services in C and Python; integrate with continuous integration systems; develop health checks and operational runbooks
- Set up observability and performance metrics/logging; conduct profiling and tuning of kernel/app performance; perform root cause analysis on incidents
- Enforce security and compliance through system hardening, secret management, least-privilege alignment, and vulnerability remediation
- Collaborate with Application, Network, and SecOps teams; document system architectures and runbooks; engage in post-mortem reviews and root cause analysis
