Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Over 8 years experience in developing SaaS products
- At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience with significant coding exposure in the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., C#, .NET/.NET Core, SQL Server, Azure-based services)
- A minimum of 3 years leading software engineering teams
- Proven capacity to remain technically engaged to review code, guide design decisions, and mentor engineers
- Experience building and operating applications in production environments on Microsoft Azure
- Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Azure DevOps
- Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
Responsibilities
- Oversee and nurture multiple software engineering teams, integrating both internal and external contributors
- Ensure successful delivery outcomes focusing on predictability, quality, and operational health
- Collaborate with Product teams to convert business objectives into prioritized backlogs in Azure DevOps
- Work closely with architects and peers to adhere to Azure-based, cloud-native design standards
- Guide teams on utilizing CI/CD pipelines for automation in building, testing, and deployment
- Advocate for Infrastructure as Code practices for efficient environment provisioning
- Implement Azure DevOps for managing repositories, pipelines, and work tracking
- Foster the adoption of AI-first development approaches and ensure responsible integration of AI-assisted tools
- Promote modern engineering practices emphasizing code quality, security, and reliability
- Coach engineers to facilitate career progression and cultivate a healthy and accountable team culture
