Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with at least 4 years of Technical Writing experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of Technical Writing experience, or a minimum of 8 years of Technical Writing experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in technical writing focused on manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in HTML design and content management.
- Strong graphic design skills, ideally using tools like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
- Familiarity with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, for creating technical drawings.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Attention to detail and capacity to handle complex technical information.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Experience in the aerospace sector is preferred.
- Familiar with regulatory documentation requirements for aerospace manufacturing.
- Certification in Technical Writing or a related field is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, compose, and refine high-quality documentation pertaining to manufacturing processes, ensuring it is precise and clear.
- Create and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical manuals.
- Utilize HTML to structure online documentation and manage content efficiently.
- Employ graphic design talents to produce attractive and informative illustrations, diagrams, and infographics.
- Work in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to interpret intricate technical information for user-friendly documentation.
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather in-depth information for inclusion in documentation.
- Guarantee that all documentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Use CAD software as needed to create and modify technical drawings and schematics.
- Regularly review and update documentation to maintain accuracy in line with process changes.
- Assist in developing training materials and guides for new manufacturing processes.
- Compile, assemble, submit, and track the status of manufacturing change request packages.
- Advocate for the standardization of manufacturing work instructions.
- Travel requirement: approximately 20%.
