Systems engineering manager, spacecraft bus lead

- Functionally manage a group of spacecraft bus lead engineers. - Allocate staffing in alignment with defined engineering resource needs. - Foster organizational growth through recruitment, mentorship, career development, and performance evaluations. - Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and integration of the spacecraft bus, ensuring adherence to mission requirements and industry standards. - Collaborate with internal program teams for a seamless integration of the spacecraft bus with other subsystems. - Supervise and assess development and delivery of the spacecraft bus with external suppliers, ensuring all technical and schedule criteria are fulfilled. - Lead and engage in design reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR). - Oversee integration and testing of the spacecraft bus to validate performance under various conditions. - Lead failure investigations related to the spacecraft bus to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. - Assess and mitigate technical risks and create contingency plans as necessary. - Prepare and evaluate technical documentation to ensure precision and thoroughness. - Ensure engineering excellence in the execution of programs through standardized bus systems engineering practices. - Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.
