Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field, plus at least 4 years of experience in aircraft systems test engineering. - Associate degree with a minimum of 8 years of aircraft systems test engineering experience. - High school diploma or GED with at least 10 years in aircraft systems test engineering. - Active DOD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within the U.S. and occasionally overseas (OCONUS). - Ability to adapt to various shifts, weekends, and overtime hours as needed. - Must acquire an FAA 3rd class medical certificate and be prepared to travel on aircraft under test conditions. - Familiarity with electrical theory and various electronics test equipment. - Capability to read and interpret block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics to troubleshoot component issues. - Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds or coordinate assistance for heavier loads. - Experience with ingress/egress evaluations for emergency aircraft procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Execute systems engineering test tasks related to aircraft modernization, maintenance, and the integration/testing of new aircraft systems. - Develop and implement software quality assurance methods and processes to ensure continuous improvement. - Support the integration of Avionics, Communications, and Mission systems across multiple platforms. - Author Test Procedures and conduct System Operation and Verification Tests (SOVT) for avionics and communication systems, including cockpit systems and navigation equipment. - Interface with cross-disciplinary teams to present technical information effectively to customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. - Participate in future business development efforts involving avionics systems for military applications. - Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications, which may involve working in confined spaces.
