Systems Engineer - Comms & Datalink Specialist

- Active DOD Secret Clearance, with the capability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance - Bachelors Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, etc.) with at least six (6) years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience, or alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related experience without a degree - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences - Experience in troubleshooting Data Link systems (e.g., Link16, CMF) within single and Multi-Level Security environments - Proficiency in software development and coding - Ability to create, interpret, and manage spreadsheets, charts, reports, investigation plans, and procedures - Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) for generating work outputs - Knowledge of systems engineering principles, practices, and procedures - Experience in constructing and analyzing Data Link messages - Familiarity with MIL-Standards 3011, 6016, 6018, and 6020 - Proficient in writing systems and software requirements using tools like DOORS/JIRA - Comfortable dealing with a large volume of classified materials - Understanding of common Tactical Datalink radios/terminals (including MIDS-JTRS, JTIDS Class 2, JRE) and MIL-STD-1553B interfaces - Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands in terminal environments - Experience creating test cases to evaluate software and system operations against requirements - Familiarity with networking technologies, including Security+ certification - Experience with RC135 Communications Systems is a plus - Capability to achieve a Class III flight certification - Prior DoD/Military experience is advantageous
