Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience, or 16 years of equivalent experience in absence of a degree.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in space vehicle program execution.
- Familiarity with major program design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PSR throughout the program lifecycle.
- Skilled in system-level requirements verification including allocation, analysis, testing, and demonstration.
- Experience leading systems engineering teams in program execution and management.
- Proficient in managing and balancing technical, cost, and schedule parameters.
- Background in Hardware/Software integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience collaborating with external suppliers and subcontractors.
- Capability to mentor and develop technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Space Vehicle engineering scope, overseeing integration activities throughout the program lifecycle.
- Ensure closure of trade studies, balancing cost, technical, and scheduling needs aligned with program priorities.
- Evaluate engineering outputs for accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with Mission and Ground Systems Engineering teams to translate requirements to subsystems and develop Space Vehicle ConOps.
- Oversee Space Vehicle segments during crucial technical reviews and address failure investigations.
- Lead engineering review boards to guarantee internal and external coordination of technical baseline changes.
- Work with engineering colleagues to apply lessons learned and best practices effectively.
- Attain and maintain DoD S/TS security clearances as necessary.
