Requirements

Must:
- 4 years of experience in C/C++ programming and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design - Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience - Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or 8 years of comparable experience in Software Engineering in lieu of a degree - Proficient in embedded software development on software-defined radio platforms - Experienced in Linux application development and Linux device driver interfaces - Familiar with real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks RTOS, Linux, QNX) - Knowledgeable in multi-threaded, multi-core design - Experience using Git/Bitbucket - Proficient in embedded software emulators and debuggers - Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) - Experienced in designing, developing, and implementing DSP algorithms - Skilled in simulating and analyzing DSP algorithms - Experience optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory efficiency across different hardware platforms - Familiar with using testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators - Knowledge of radio communication fundamentals including waveforms, modulation methods, coding schemes, and digital signaling - Experience with Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

- Design and develop embedded software and platforms for next-generation tactical radios - Create and implement application-level libraries for interfacing with software and hardware components within embedded Linux systems - Develop software testing procedures, programs, and related documentation - Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and address software defects - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to assess interfaces and operational needs - Prepare work estimates and contribute to project scheduling - Break down tasks into manageable units for sprint planning - Provide technical support to both internal and external clients, including factory software introduction and resolving manufacturing issues - Assist and mentor junior engineers
