Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of pertinent experience; alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related experience without a degree.
- Capability to obtain and uphold a Security Clearance.
- Over 5 years of direct engineering experience.
- Experience working with technologies such as Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, motivation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Support digital engineering initiatives and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Conduct trade studies to assess system options.
- Develop requirements specifications for engineering tasks.
- Create functional block diagrams and use-case diagrams as needed.
- Plan and strategize integration and testing processes, including drafting plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as mechanical and project engineering for systematic project coordination.
- Generate or revise engineering drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, and schematics.
- Create Engineering Change Orders when necessary.
- Prepare and deliver materials for design reviews.
- Verify system interfaces for compliance and functionality.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Influence and guide team members and stakeholders towards adopting practices and methods effectively.
