Senior Systems Engineer - Tactical Planner

Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience or a Graduate Degree with 2-4 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 8-10 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly required.
- Familiarity with Joint Operations and the Joint Planning Process.
- Objective thinker and problem solver with a determination to complete challenging tasks.
- Graduate from the Joint Professional Military Education program is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience briefing General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) at the G/J/N/5 (Plans Directorate).
- Background in Orbital Mechanics is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, plan, and integrate customer support into exercises, training, and operational activities.
- Incorporate activities into the joint planning cycle to meet customer requirements.
- Offer subject matter expertise to external organizations for operations and exercise planning coordination.
- Engage with the Critical Review Memorandum (CRM) process.
- Assist in the development, deployment, and execution of strategic plans.
- Create and review various reports, presentations, and necessary documentation.
- Organize and carry out space operations planning programs as directed.
- Utilize operations center communications contracts to align operational processes and best practices.
- Conduct work primarily on-site at Springfield, VA, with possible travel within the U.S. and overseas for program execution.
- Apply analytical skills and keen attention to detail in all tasks.
