Senior Systems Engineer - Networks Specialist

Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering focused on Networking
- Strong understanding of Network Security policies and practices
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and networking
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, EVPN) is essential
- Prior military service is highly desirable
- Experience in Network and Systems Support/Installation, including Cisco/Brocade/Dell IOS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP is a plus
- Familiarity with network packet inspection tools like WireShark and TCPDump is beneficial
- Knowledge of multicast routing concepts is advantageous
- Understanding of MPLS and VPNs is preferred
- Experience with HAIPE devices is desired
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in designing, implementing, and testing WAN/LAN/SATCOM-based network systems
- Convert customer system requirements into documentation using DOORS or Jira
- Engage in proposal and bid reviews, ensuring compliance with company policies, vision, values, and objectives
- Communicate effectively both within and outside of the Systems Engineering functional group to foster collaboration on operational processes
- Drive improvements to systems and processes as necessary
- Make significant contributions to the achievement of departmental goals and operational plans, directly impacting departmental outcomes
- Travel approximately 25% of the year as required by business needs
