Senior Specialist, Satcom Systems Engineer

Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Systems/SATCOM
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Capability to obtain a secret security clearance
- Experience in product development, preferably in a military context (preferred)
- Familiarity with type 1 encryption products and cyber security (preferred)
- Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills (preferred)
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines (preferred)
- Experience in coordinating projects and managing technical support personnel (preferred)
- Ability to effectively collaborate and contribute as part of a team (preferred)
- Active Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the life-cycle support of protected SATCOM data link systems from conceptual development to phase-out
- Provide proposal support, requirements analysis, and management
- Plan and execute technical tasks, ensuring thorough documentation
- Participate in design oversight and synthesis within a multi-functional engineering team
- Support build and testing processes, including risk management and subcontract control
- Assist in integration and verification testing, as well as system deployment
- Offer in-house technical support during the operational life-cycle of systems
- Facilitate the capture and management of customer requirements, ensuring traceability
- Aid lead engineers in developing specifications, interface documents, and test plans
