Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience can substitute for a degree.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with potential to obtain SCI.
- On-site presence required at the Greenville, TX location, with occasional telecommuting options.
- Business travel estimated at approximately 10% of the year.
- CompTIA Security or equivalent certification.
- Proficient understanding of networking design, including isolation, segmentation, and bandwidth management.
- Preferred experience with networking topologies such as encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and virtual networks.
- Proven ability to collaborate with functional organizations to integrate security measures into daily processes.
- Willingness to keep abreast of the latest in security trends and technologies.
- Interest in mentoring junior security engineers and IT personnel.
- Associates in CISSP, CISSP, CCNA Security, CSA, GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, SSCP, Linux, Cloud preferred.
- Strong technical writing capabilities.
- Familiarity with engineering tools like JIRA, Confluence, DOORS.
- Knowledge of security engineering principles, design patterns, and processes.
- Experience working with matrixed development teams (hardware, software, systems engineers) and embedded systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
- Continuously monitor network activity for signs of unusual behavior and potential breaches.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing timely solutions and documentation of findings.
- Collaborate closely with Information System Owners, engineers, management, and product teams to clarify cybersecurity processes and frameworks.
- Keep security measures current and effective by embracing new trends in cybersecurity.
