Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 0 to 2 years of experience
- In lieu of a degree, at least 6 years of related experience
- Proficiency in developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud environments
- Understanding of networking principles and security best practices in AWS
- Experience working in Linux environments, including skills in scripting, configuration, and software deployment
- Competency in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, CDK, OpenTofu, CloudFormation)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and apply updates from AWS and third-party vendors
- Sustain and refine our Kubernetes-based cloud architecture
- Implement and uphold security automation tools such as AWS EventBridge, GuardDuty, and Inspector
- Assist in managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions via Keycloak
- Support the migration of external toolchains to AWS-native implementations
- Compose and uphold detailed documentation for developers, administrators, and operators
- Ensure consistency in deployment processes (version tagging, naming conventions)
- Design and develop new software or modify existing applications to introduce new features
- Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
