Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience
- Graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
- Over 6 years of expertise in embedded software development using C/C++
- Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, including kernel and driver development
- Familiarity with video processing techniques such as image enhancement, video stitching, storage, and playback
- Understanding of video interfaces and camera control protocols like GenICam, GigE Vision, and Camera Link
- Proficient in using software development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, development, and testing of user interface software in a Linux environment utilizing QT and C/C++
- Develop and sustain embedded Linux-based systems, including kernel and driver work
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of embedded software engineers
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to establish software requirements and ensure smooth integration with hardware
- Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation, including design specifications and testing procedures
- Troubleshoot software issues and offer timely solutions to maintain product quality and reliability
- Optimize software for performance and memory usage to align with product specifications
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and best practices
- Stay informed about the latest industry developments and technologies to enhance our software development processes
