Senior Scientist, Systems Engineering

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience - Graduate Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 13 years of related experience - In lieu of a degree, at least 19 years of relevant experience - A decade of experience in communications & systems engineering with SATCOM, LOS, and/or HF waveforms - A minimum of 10 years in product & system architecture for SATCOM, LOS, and/or HF systems - 10 years of experience in developing, managing, and verifying requirements for components or systems - At least 5 years leading a large multidisciplinary engineering team as a Chief Systems Engineer/Architect - Technical knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineering disciplines - Familiarity with space, airborne, and ground systems architecture and implementation - Experience with requirements management, preferably using DOORS - Proficiency in model-based design, particularly with SysML using Cameo Systems Modeler - Background in data analysis and/or modeling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Python) - Knowledge of project management in cost plus and fixed-price contracts with government clients - Experience with cost estimation and management for large-scale product and system developments - Strong ability to communicate complex system solutions to diverse audiences and gain support for proposed solutions - Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
