Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- Graduate degree with at least 10 years of related experience.
- If no degree, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in developing RUST software for production systems with comprehensive knowledge of the language.
- Experience in C/C++ development and object-oriented design.
- An active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support embedded software application development with a focus on RUST.
- Lead the integration and adoption of RUST along with associated techniques and design patterns across various product lines.
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles in software development for targeted hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to create and assess hardware-software interfaces and performance requirements.
- Participate actively in all software development life cycle phases, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and formal testing.
- Investigate and resolve complex software issues independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and necessary technical documentation.
- Utilize modeling tools to collect data, conduct tests, prototype, and analyze results.
- Engage in peer reviews, track, and remedy defects.
- Use RUST, C/C++, and Python to develop code for real-time embedded operating systems.
- Serve as a mentor and reviewer for junior engineers.
- Travel over 30% to other L3Harris locations for onboarding or integration.
