Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or a minimum of 8 years of related experience without a degree
- Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience of 4 years
- Intermediate expertise in LAN/WAN design following industry-standard security best practices; NIST framework
- Intermediate knowledge of network engineering, including IP addressing, switching and routing, VLANs, VPNs, video teleconferencing, VoIP, and LANs/WANs
- Experience with routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Knowledge of the Certification and Accreditation process and implementing systems for Authorization to Operate on government networks
- Familiarity with DODAF
- Skills in configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting routers, switches, and video teleconferencing equipment
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
- Experience in developing and implementing software and system test plans in a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to work both independently and lead small test teams through full build cycles
- Practical experience in testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware
Responsibilities
- Engage in technical planning, system integration, validation, and troubleshooting for overall systems and subsystems
- Assist in the design and creation of both physical and logical network architectures integrating voice, video, and data across various security domains
- Maintain both LAN and WAN networks linking airborne and terrestrial systems utilizing terrestrial and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) circuits
- Translate customer requirements into system-level specifications
- Implement requirement traceability methods
- Participate in systems engineering trade studies, assessing accuracy and thoroughness
- Compose subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs
- Review and analyze design diagrams to ensure alignment with system requirements
- Formulate and execute network testing procedures to verify system performance meets established requirements
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to convey technical network information to non-technical audiences
- Collaborate across various engineering disciplines to architect a credible multi-security domain network and integrate designs in a MILSTD compliant setting
