Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience without a degree.
- Secret Clearance required.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 Professional Certifications: CCNA-Security, Security+ CE, or above certifications required.
- Current Linux certifications such as RedHat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE) or CompTIA Linux+ are a plus.
- Experience in continuous integration, build management, and automated testing frameworks is desirable.
- Familiarity with cross-domain systems management and administration is preferred.
- Background in utilizing virtualization technologies and backup solutions is beneficial.
- Proven success working in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented settings is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Set up, monitor, maintain, and resolve issues with Red Hat Linux systems (physical and virtual).
- Enforce security measures adhering to DoD security frameworks and RMF requirements, integrating RMF principles into new builds and ongoing security management.
- Oversee and sustain Windows systems to guarantee their optimal functionality and reliability.
- Administer and maintain Linux systems, specifically concentrating on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Leverage virtualization technologies like KVM, VMware, vSphere/vCenter, and microservices/containers (e.g., Docker) to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of server systems and network infrastructure to support business continuity and performance.
- Maintain a solid grasp of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP to optimize network performance.
- Monitor system performance and resource consumption, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to uphold system resilience and security.
- Tailor, enhance, and troubleshoot enterprise-level applications.
- Employ Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
- Deliver infrastructure and systems expertise to advance systems engineering tasks, including technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, and cost/risk assessments.
- Aid engineering teams with evaluations at all system product levels, encompassing concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Facilitate the transformation of customer or product needs into comprehensive systems solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost restrictions.
- Assist in functional analysis, timeline assessments, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert requirements into hardware and software specifications.
