Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft systems test engineering
- If holding a Graduate degree, no prior experience required
- If only a High School diploma or GED, a minimum of 6 years of experience is necessary
- Current DOD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to secure a TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Availability for travel as required, including up to 50% travel within the U.S. and potentially OCONUS
- Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime when necessary
- Capability to obtain a FAA 3rd class medical certificate
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, using a lifting team for heavier loads as needed
- Proficiency in understanding basic electrical theory and electronics test equipment, including digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and network analyzers
Responsibilities
- Execute systems engineering test tasks related to aircraft upgrades, maintenance, and integration of new aircraft systems
- Develop and implement software quality methodologies and processes
- Create and refine testing procedures, ensuring continuous enhancement of software quality assurance standards
- Support integration of Avionics, Communication, and Mission systems across various platforms
- Author Test Procedures and conduct System Operation and Verification Tests (SOVT) for avionics and related systems
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications
- Perform necessary removal, replacement, and installation of wiring in compliance with safety measures
- Conduct travel for testing and integration purposes, meeting technical requirements on-site
