Requirements
Must:
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology/Computer Information Systems with a Network or Communications focus, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or have obtained a Bachelors degree within the last 12 months
- Strong grasp of TCP/IP and routing principles
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking and security frameworks, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IPSec, and VPNs
- Understanding of Computer/System Security concepts such as Antivirus, Authentication, Authorization, Access Control, Cryptography, SSO, Business Continuity Planning, and Application Security
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and supervision in evaluating security infrastructure along with network and system designs to ensure security measures are in place
- Identify security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities across networks, systems, applications, and new technology developments
- Oversee the creation, testing, and functioning of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus programs, and software deployment tools
- Formulate policies and procedures to safeguard system infrastructure and applications
- Develop in-depth technical and programmatic assessments and evaluate engineering and integration projects, providing technical support to review security policies and standards
- Conduct product evaluations and recommend as well as implement products or services to enhance network security
- Collaborate with clients to offer insights on information assurance engineering standards, implementation requirements, and evolving technologies in information assurance
