Scientist, Systems Engineer - Active Directory

Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in an applicable engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) with at least 12 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 16 years of related experience in absence of a degree.
- Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
- Proven experience in supporting Active Directory, particularly in establishing and administering AD domains, resolving replication and Kerberos authentication problems, and designing complex group policies.
- Experience with identity synchronization, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), privileged identity management, tenant administration, creation and modification of conditional access policies, and setting up federation application authentication.
- Skilled in managing PKI infrastructure, including Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and certificate lifecycle processes (issuance, revocation, renewal).
- Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience in scripting for process automation.
- Strong written, verbal, and collaborative communication abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), managing users, groups, computers, Organizational Unit structure, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), domain controllers, and relevant Microsoft or third-party applications.
- Facilitate identity lifecycle processes for new joiners, movers, and leavers.
- Implement least privilege access and uphold zero-trust principles.
- Establish and manage Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection protocols.
- Support secure authentication methods including Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, and contemporary authentication mechanisms.
- Propose and apply enhancements for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and system upgrades.
- Engage in proposal development activities, including labor estimation (BOE creation and evaluation) and technical responses.
- Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, team leadership, strategic planning, effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and critical thinking.
- Prepare and present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
- Ensure projects effectively translate customer needs into unique verifiable system-level requirements.
- Assess trade studies for precision and completeness.
