Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with 9 years of prior programming experience, or a Graduate Degree with 7 years of prior programming experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior programming experience is acceptable.
- Proven skills in Linux Administration, Shell scripting, Python, and PowerShell.
- Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Groovy, YAML, and JSON.
- Experience with GitLab management.
- Strong understanding of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Practical experience with virtual machine and hypervisor management, including headless server (PXE boot).
- Familiarity with networking and storage management in a Linux environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain database infrastructure utilizing DevOps principles.
- Automate processes for database deployment, scaling, and management.
- Implement monitoring and alerting tools to ensure database performance and availability.
- Work collaboratively with software development teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards for database systems.
- Continuously enhance processes and tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of database operations.
- Manage backup, recovery, and data archival processes.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Write well-structured, testable, and efficient code following software design principles.
- Address customer inquiries by providing troubleshooting and analysis of complex problems.
