Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in debugging applications on both simulated and actual hardware
- Proficiency in using a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar
- Strong project management experience, including project planning and task definition
- Ability to lead a software development team and monitor performance
- Experience with object-oriented design and implementation
- Familiarity with software modeling and UML tools like IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead a software development team and oversee project execution
- Analyze requirements and translate them into effective, maintainable software solutions
- Plan the development phases, allocate budgets and tasks, and track team progress
- Measure work performance using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques
- Enforce standardized processes throughout all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Support engineering team members as a subject matter expert in embedded software applications
- Investigate and resolve complex issues, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Utilize principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematics in software development
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance hardware-software interfaces and operational performance
- Support all phases of software development, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing
- Develop comprehensive software test plans and technical documentation
