Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Alternatively, a graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience, or a minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience without a degree
- 3 years of experience in developing RUST software for production environments and a solid understanding of the language
- Experience in C/C++ development
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Preferred: Experience in converting C/C++ code to RUST
- Preferred: Development of RUST software for embedded systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with the development of embedded systems and object-oriented design
- Preferred: Experience with software modeling tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo
- Preferred: Background in developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems
- Preferred: Knowledge of Information Assurance and/or cryptography
- Preferred: Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or similar software certifications such as DO-178.
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team in the development of embedded software applications utilizing RUST
- Lead the integration and implementation of RUST and relevant techniques, idioms, design patterns, and tools across various product lines
- Apply concepts and principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis in software development for targeted hardware
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to assess and develop interfaces between hardware and software, while defining operational performance requirements and system design
- Engage in all software development life cycle phases, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing
- Investigate complex issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions, working either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Create software test plans and relevant technical documentation
- Utilize modeling tools and equipment to gather operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate outcomes
- Participate in peer reviews, track, and rectify defects across the software development process.
