Requirements
Must:
- I have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, I possess a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- I hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Previous experience in the aerospace or satellite service industry is highly desirable.
- I possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling me to create and maintain a collaborative work environment.
- I have extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- I am detail-oriented and able to manage multiple programs simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines.
- I can travel up to 25% of the time and have experience working directly and professionally with customers, senior management, subcontract vendors, and various functional groups.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for leading the program team to execute established plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to customer expectations.
- I coordinate and prepare proposals, business plans, work statements, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts, while also participating in contract negotiations.
- I act as the primary customer contact for service program activities, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- I utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodology and tools to plan and execute programs, identifying and mitigating risks.
- I lead cross-functional teams, empowering individuals by setting goals and fostering ownership of task assignments.
- I collaborate with subcontractors to ensure cost, schedule, and quality requirements are met.
- I brief customers, users, and upper management on all facets of the program, monitoring progress to ensure adherence to master schedules and milestones.
- I have the ability to manage multiple programs at once while maintaining effective communication for status reporting.
- I possess first-rate executive-level briefing skills, confidently engaging audiences and providing updates on program status to high-level stakeholders.
Description
As a Lead Program Manager, I oversee the daily tasks and administrative functions of program initiatives, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and reporting from inception to completion. I am expected to demonstrate team building, leadership, and communication skills, building relationships of trust with teams, customers, peers, and leadership. My role requires me to work in concert with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to establish business concepts and critical tasks to exceed operational and financial goals. I must maintain professional behavior in high-pressure situations, adapt to changing priorities, and support multiple efforts effectively. This position requires an understanding of satellite service industry standards, project management principles, and software development processes in a fast-paced environment.
