Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Prior experience in cryptography design, development, and certification processes such as FIPS 140, Risk Management Framework, and/or NSA certification
- At least 4 years of practical experience in cryptography or relevant educational background in a cryptography-focused Masters program preferred
- Certifications such as Associate of CISSP, CISSP, CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required
- Capability to obtain and sustain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Strong technical writing skills
- Familiarity with communication systems, computer networking concepts, and security methodologies
- Knowledge of security engineering principles and basic design patterns
- Strong analytical, creative thinking, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with matrixed development teams including hardware, software, and systems engineers
Responsibilities
- Apply NSA and FIPS 140 standards to cryptographic products
- Collaborate with software and hardware design engineers to fulfill certification requirements
- Develop design and testing documentation to substantiate requirement implementation
- Lead efforts for NSA certification and FIPS 140 validation
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to discuss design, implementation, and certification updates
- Adapt to dynamic environments and participate in collaborative decision-making processes
- Ask insightful questions and seek clarification regarding unfamiliar concepts and designs
- Travel up to 25% as needed for project requirements
