Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with over 9 years of relevant experience, or a Masters Degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years in a related field without a degree
- Proficiency in Altera, Microchip, or Xilinx FPGA architectures
- Familiarity with SoC, including Kintex UltraScale/UltraScale+, Virtex UltraScale/UltraScale+, Zynq UltraScale
- Experience with legacy FPGA series such as Spartan-6 and Cyclone III
- Knowledge of design tool sets including ISE, Vivado, Libero, and/or Quartus
- Proficient in VHDL coding
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop digital circuitry for data acquisition and telemetry products
- Generate specifications and select components for design
- Design sub-systems and modules focusing on digital circuits and FPGA code, collaborating with other engineering disciplines
- Decompose system-level requirements into FPGA specifications
- Architect solutions targeting FPGAs and implement on FPGA platforms
- Map FPGA simulation outputs to system-level specifications
- Review product specifications and create block diagrams, flow diagrams, and design concepts
- Refine firmware development processes across FPGA designs
- Lead engineering teams in generating FPGA design solutions
- Validate FPGA simulations to ensure desired performance before integration and testing
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle and integration of VHDL on various FPGA families
- Conduct bench-level integration with hardware, software, and FPGA designs
- Assist in defining detailed system requirements during proposal development
- Support project planning, design reviews, and production documentation for new or modified products
- Facilitate qualification and production tests when failures occur
- Provide assistance and troubleshooting for customers with deployed products
- Mentor junior engineers
