Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 9 years of experience in Control Systems Analysis or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of experience in the same area.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of Control Systems Analysis experience without a degree.
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ programming languages.
- Strong understanding of control theory and propulsion theory.
- Experience in propulsion system design, integration, and testing is preferred.
- Active US Secret Security Clearance is a plus.
- Proven leadership abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with classified environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct dynamic modeling and simulation of propulsion systems, dedicating approximately 90% of time to this area.
- Develop and design control algorithms for propulsion systems.
- Perform modeling and analysis of actuation systems and assess their performance in both steady state and transient scenarios.
- Collaborate in the formulation of rocket propulsion hardware and software requirements, ensuring proper internal requirements allocation.
- Participate in the testing of propulsion systems, including development of test plans and procedures, as well as pre-test predictions.
- Integrate electronic test support equipment and develop software related to testing.
- Analyze test data to derive insights and validations.
- Mentor and train junior team members to build their expertise.
- Travel up to 10% for off-site testing as needed.
