Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 6-9 years of software experience.
- Graduate Degree with 4-7 years of software experience.
- In lieu of a degree, at least 10-12 years of software experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud Software Developer.
- At least 5 years of Object-Oriented Programming (Java, C++, Python).
- 3 years of Java software development including Web Services, JMS, and application servers, plus JavaScript development with strong knowledge of NodeJS or ReactJS.
- 3 years of experience developing applications utilizing relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies including Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or equivalent certification for other Cloud providers.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, JQuery, XML, Web services (REST, SOAP), and related technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Ability to produce well-designed, testable, and efficient code, and mentor the team to uphold these standards.
- Experience ensuring designs comply with specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and integration of Cloud software applications within an Agile environment.
- Develop robust Cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments for seamless integration between Cloud and Non-Cloud components.
- Implement solutions that fulfill both program specifications and business objectives for Cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with the development team and clients to review designs and estimates, while identifying and documenting risks, assumptions, and limitations.
- Utilize DevOps principles and practices to enhance the automated build, test, and deployment environments.
- Provide operational support for applications and tools, ensuring high availability and compliance with service-level agreements.
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices in Kubernetes environments such as EKS or OpenShift.
- Focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage within cloud environments.
- Create scalable and high-availability enterprise systems specifically for Cloud applications.
- Maintain eligibility for an FAA public trust clearance.
