Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or
- In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of pertinent experience.
- Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in cryptography design, implementation, or certification, or an equivalent educational background in a cryptography-focused Masters program.
- Certification such as Associate of CISSP, CISSP, CCNA Security, CSA, GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SSCP must be obtained within 6 months of hiring.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Strong skills in technical writing.
- Familiarity with communication systems, computer networking concepts, and relevant protocols (including TCP/IP).
- Understanding of security engineering principles and methodologies.
- Awareness of fundamental security engineering design patterns and technologies.
- Proficient in problem-solving, creative thinking, and multitasking.
- Experience with matrixed development teams and embedded systems engineering.
- Experience with cybersecurity-related roles as a government advisory/assistance contractor.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply NSA and FIPS 140 requirements to cryptographic products.
- Collaborate with both software and hardware design engineers to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Generate design and testing documentation to verify requirements implementation.
- Serve as a self-driven contributor on projects involving RMF, NSA, FIPS, and associated security frameworks.
- Engage with internal and external clients to review design, implementation, and certification status.
- Exhibit adaptability to changing environments, emphasize timeliness, and participate in joint decision-making.
- Inquire and seek clarification on unfamiliar concepts, designs, and implementation details.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
