Requirements
Must:
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Graduate Degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- At least 3 years of experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware
- Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like Green Hills Integrity or VxWorks
- Object-oriented design experience with exposure to software modeling and UML tools (e.g., IBM Rhapsody)
- Experience in developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time systems
- Proficiency in Modern C++ techniques
- Knowledge of Information Assurance and cryptography concepts
- Familiarity with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certifications such as DO-178
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into functional and maintainable software solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and define project tasks
- Serve as a key member of a Scrum team, influencing product and infrastructure development strategies
- Provide guidance to other software engineers as a subject matter expert in embedded software development
- Analyze complex issues to identify root causes, implementing solutions independently or with a multidisciplinary team
- Apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematics in software development for designated hardware
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and assess interfaces between hardware and software systems
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to formal testing
- Create software test plans and technical documentation
- Utilize modeling tools for data acquisition, experimental testing, prototyping, and result evaluation
- Engage in peer reviews and track and rectify defects
- Use various programming languages (primarily C/C++ and Python) to develop software for embedded real-time operating systems
