Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in process development
- Alternatively, a 2-year post-secondary/AA Degree paired with 8 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with 2 years of applicable experience
- If no degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development and board bring-up for embedded microcontroller systems
- Proficiency in C/C++, data structures, and inter-process communications
- Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Lead the software design, documentation, development, and testing of projects throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with the Equipment Engineering Manager and other engineers to align project requirements and provide updates on progress
- Manage the development, integration, debugging, and testing of internal software solutions
- Conduct research and development activities related to the design, construction, and testing of embedded systems and automated electro-optical test equipment
- Construct and evaluate prototypes for proposed Capital and IRAD funded electro-mechanical robotic and integrated process control systems
- Oversee special projects, procure needed materials, assemble, verify operations, and coordinate validation testing in production
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for equipment operation software
- Attend and contribute to morning stand-up reviews and weekly meetings with the Manufacturing and/or Equipment Engineering Manager
