Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of related experience
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of relevant experience
- Active US Government Secret Security Clearance
- Proficiency in generating/managing requirements at various system levels and cascading requirements to subsystems/sub-components
- Experience with DOORS and/or MBSE tools like CAMEO and MagicDraw
- Proven track record in leading large space programs across the entire system lifecycle
- Background in aerospace/defense systems, including space payloads, spacecraft bus, and ground systems
- Ability to work on ITAR or EAR projects
- Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of concepts of operation and conduct requirements analysis, decomposition, and generation at various system levels
- Ensure requirements traceability and create test plans to address those requirements
- Execute design trade-offs to inform technical decisions
- Oversee design reviews such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR)
- Guide integration and testing of electro-optical/infrared systems along with associated hardware and software
- Support or lead data analysis and modeling/simulation activities
- Assess customer and operational requirements to define and synchronize system performance needs, integrating technical parameters and ensuring compatibility across all physical, functional, and program interfaces
- Identify and mitigate risks within the program
- Mentor junior Systems Engineers
- Contribute to proposal activities and support program planning, guidance, and execution
